You are offering some very helpful tips here. I visit blogs regularly and leave comments which builds relationships as well as back links. However, I like the other 2 tips you gave us. These are a couple of new ones I can begin using right away and will see how the results turn out.

Hi Melissa, this is a great strategy “the power of 3″ – I use all three of your tips & they DO work! I just have never quantified it into the 3′s. I do, however make sure that I’m doing some of each every day, probably more than 3.
While 3 doesn’t sound like much, it becomes 15 over 5 days & 60 over 20 days (weekends excluded). That’s a lot of backlinks from just ONE tip, all three expand to 180 backlinks a month.
That will definitely be sending traffic to your site!

some great advice here as usual. I did have a quick question for you. I don’t know if you recall but you had looked into my Comment Luv & RSS problems (on my Blog) and I never heard back, so I guess they were ‘unfixable’ so without looking too ‘spammy’, do you have any other suggestions as far as how I can leave Backlinks?
It always looks a bit ‘heavy’ if you just throw your Site URL around everywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How Funny! I did write you back, that is so strange…. The comment luv just needed to be activated, and it is now, it looks like to me… And RSS.. well, that is somewhere embedded in your theme’s settings. There is a setting somewhere in there, in your dashboard, that you will need to put in your RSS feed URL. You can get it at http://www.feeds.feedburner.com.
Also, you can play around in FeedBurner to grab different ways to get your content spread.
And BTW, putting your link on your signature is not too spammy. You have a great blog that delivers content! Not a sales page! That would be spammy!

Hi Melissa, not sure how I could have missed your message.
Still have no way of getting CommentLuv to work. I’ve gone to the WP help page, I’ve confirmed my URL has been ‘unbanned’, added a ‘feed’ just in case I didn’t have one installed, I’ve been registered on the CL Site forever but it still comes back as saying ‘no posts to return’ and I have about 60 of them on my Blog now.
This is what it says is the problem and i’ve done all this, I think =}
Persistent errors when trying to read the feed on this site. visit http://comluv.com/member/unban-url/ to remove the ban. ** Your last feed fetching error : empty feed It appears your feed is empty or something happened to make it empty. Please visit your feed in your browser (not sure WHERE this is) to make sure it is showing posts. Please report this in a support ticket to admin in the comluv.com dashboard ** (couldn’t find a place on the CL Site to submit a ticket, just tell you to go to the WP help desk)
I guess I’m gonna have to do them the ol’ fashioned way, SPAM ‘EM! LOL
I do believe you’re right about the lack of RSS feed URL. I never knew what it was or where to get it. I’ll check feedburner as I don’t think I have ever registered there yet. That would be great if I could at least get my RSS going.
I’m bummed about the CL thing but i can’t let it ruin my life. SPAM ON!!!

I HAVE CONQUERED! Finally, аftеr I саח′t even tеƖƖ уου һοw much time, effort аחԁ sweat equity I’ve рυt іחtο tһіѕ (ok, һοw аbουt ‘mental’ sweat equity), I һаνе beaten tһе system аחԁ figured іt out.
Turns out I һаԁ a ‘broken’ code(?) іח mу Favicon file (јυѕt one lousy missing semi colon, חοt sure wһу οr һοw іt wаѕ even ((חοt)) tһеrе) bυt іt wаѕ preventing CommentLuv аחԁ mу RSS frοm being ‘read’. Changed mу Favicon аחԁ іt аƖƖ seems tο bе working.
I һаνе battled tһіѕ forever bυt wіtһ mу being ‘computerally challenged’, іt һаѕ bееח a workout tο ѕау tһе Ɩеаѕt. One tһаt surely mаkеѕ P90X look Ɩіkе a walk tο tһе mailbox. HA!
Tһіѕ proves tһаt perseverance аחԁ Taking Action really ԁοеѕ pay οff іח tһе long rυח. Now I don’t һаνе tο leave mу URL rіɡһt next tο mу signature anymore, looking Ɩіkе a Spamaholic.

Thanks Curt, glad that you find some value in what I offer here! Getting traffic is key to this business and sometimes we have to prioritize the best traffic getting tactics and go full steam ahead. Commenting on other blogs and forums is a great way to get traffic, even though it feels like it is so time consuming to read and post on other sites, it is well worth the time to get that long term traffic. And.. I have learned, that it all just takes some time.
